Choreo vs. Impro

Choreography is knowing the other's response to your actions.

Improvisation is not knowing the other's response to your actions

  1. Presence is being in the in between of knowing and not knowing- so Chor and improv both frame presence?

  2. I would posit that presence doesn't have to do with knowing but simply being there or not.

Presence coming from present coming from the present participle of the Latin word praeesse - to be before one.

Chor and improv both frame awareness. Awareness is being in the in-between of knowing and not knowing (?)

Maybe once we arrive in the knowledge of something we are no longer searching for that knowledge and then lose awareness of it. And when we are not knowing we aren't aware of what we should be looking for.
